Morning Greatness: Platoon of Whistle-blowers Ready to be Deployed

If at first you don’t succeed…

News broke over the weekend that developer “Resistance Bureaucracy” has launched a new app called “Whistleblower 2.0.” The launch comes after the failed beta test of “Whistleblower 1.0” when several fatal errors were discovered in the app’s initial execution.

To start, the corporate media had to issue a damage-control press release revealing the first “whistle-blower” had colluded with House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) Chair Adam Schiff’s (D.-Calif.) staff prior to approaching the intelligence community’s inspector general with his gossip-fueled, hearsay allegations. Further polluting the “whistleblowers'” efforts to sound the alarm about wrong-doing is that Schiff hid this collusion and lied when asked by the press if he had met with the whistleblower, a fact that would inevitably be revealed when the HPSCI Republicans questioned the whistleblower under oath. In addition, there is the curious case of an amended whistleblower complaint form, that was “updated” to allow hearsay and gossip rather than first hand knowledge of wrong doing. Whenever the corporate media appears to break a story that is unfavorable to the deep state mafia, it’s because the truth is much, much worse. It is most certainly not because they have discovered something in the midst of a good faith “investigation.” Let’s just say the whistle-blower roll out was a disaster on numerous fronts. Not to worry:

Mark Zaid, the attorney representing the whistleblower who sounded the alarm on President Donald Trump’s dealings with Ukraine and triggered an impeachment inquiry, tells ABC News that he is now representing a second whistleblower who has spoken with the inspector general.

Zaid tells ABC News’ Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos that the second person — also described as an intelligence official — has first-hand knowledge of some of the allegations outlined in the original complaint and has been interviewed by the head of the intelligence community’s internal watchdog office, Michael Atkinson.

So it’s a do-over. Whistleblower 2.0 has first hand knowledge and presumably did not soil himself by meeting with Schiff’s staff. But really, who cares? They could have a platoon of whistle-blowers (they do, mark my words) ready to be deployed but we have the transcript of the call in question. Unless the army of whistle-blowers have something new to add, what is the point? To introduce a perverted interpretation of what we can read in black and white? To keep this sturm und drang in the news as a 2020 campaign strategy? To cripple the president so he can’t do the things he was voted into office to do? Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question.

China vs. the woke N.B.A

What do you do if you are a woke corporation but love some of that cash money from a foreign country with questionable human rights record?

The General Manager of the Houston Rockets basketball team tweeted support for the pro-democracy protestors in Hong Kong and all hell broke out. The New York Times wants you to know the tweet “upset sponsors, media outlets and basketball officials in a country that invests billions in the N.B.A.” It’s important to keep that Chinese money flowing, just ask our moral betters in Hollywood and at Google who are more than happy to suspend their wokeness to bank that Chinese cash money.

The tweet in question was promptly deleted and G.M. Daryl Morley appropriately prostrated himself for his tweet-crime. “I did not intend my tweet to cause any offense to Rockets fans and friends of mine in China,” Morey wrote, adding that his view did not represent the Rockets or the N.B.A. “I was merely voicing one thought, based on one interpretation, of one complicated event. I have had a lot of opportunity since that tweet to hear and consider other perspectives.’’

A spokesman for the league said in a statement Sunday night that it was “regrettable” and that Morey’s views “deeply offended many of our friends and fans in China.” He continued, “We have great respect for the history and culture of China and hope that sports and the N.B.A. can be used as a unifying force to bridge cultural divides and bring people together.”

Chinese sponsors such as the shoe company Li Ning and the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Card Center, which both announced that they were pausing their partnerships with the Rockets, team officials faced an immediate backlash from the Chinese Basketball Association and the Chinese consulate in Houston.

This totally reminds me of that time when the woke N.B.A pulled the All-Star game from North Carolina over the bathroom bill. The shoe is on the other foot: you want the revenue? Adjust your moral compass, comrade!

Turkey is going to invade Syria

According to the White House, Turkey is getting ready to invade Syria and the U.S. is preparing to withdrawal forces from the “immediate area.”

“Turkey will soon be moving forward with its long-planned operation into Northern Syria,” the White House said in a statement late Sunday. “The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation, and United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial ‘Caliphate,’ will no longer be in the immediate area.”

Turkey will take possession of the ISIS fighter prisoners captured over the last two years.

“The United States Government has pressed France, Germany, and other European nations, from which many captured ISIS fighters came, to take them back, but they did not want them and refused,” the U.S. said in it statement. “The United States will not hold them for what could be many years and great cost to the United States taxpayer.”
