Joe Biden’s presidential campaign sent a letter to the executives of several major news outlets on Sunday, asking them to no longer book Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, as a guest on their programs.
The letter, written by Biden advisers Kate Bedingfield and Anita Dunn, argued that Giuliani should not be given a platform from which to “spread false, debunked conspiracy theories” about Ukraine.
“We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation,” Bedingfield and Dunn wrote in the letter.
The two-page letter blasted Giuliani, calling his allegations “baseless” and arguing that he was “certainly not adding new facts, since his relationship with the truth is casual at best.”
“Simply saying that you will put a Democrat on, at a time when there are many declared candidates for the Democratic nomination for the presidency, is neither fair treatment nor equal treatment,” they complained.
The letter was reportedly sent to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and Fox News, as well as several of the top anchors at those networks.
Giuliani hit back on Twitter, saying: “The Bidens are clearly rattled by the affidavit showing there is a named accuser and not an anonymous source, who is ready to testify! Reminds me of the reaction to the corrupt pols of the 70’s and 80’s. They have their Dem media trying to destroy my reputation and silence me!”

Giuliani in recent days has appeared on a number of networks to discuss President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Ukraine’s interference in the 2016 election. The former mayor of New York City has also been keen to talk about corruption surrounding Biden, who is accused of strong-arming Ukraine to oust Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in the spring of 2016, while Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings, a natural gas company that employed his son Hunter Biden.
“The Bidens are doing all they can to silence me,” Giuliani tweeted, posting a clip of his fiery Sunday morning interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos:

In a comment to The Daily Beast, Giuliani said the Biden letter “sounds like the usual left wing censorship. Everything I say is supported by such as today, affidavits and statements. They are the ones who have covered up pay for play for at least 5 years.”
Giuliani shared some more of his thoughts on Twitter Sunday, begging Congress to look at the evidence he has collected on UkrainGate, and challenging Biden to prove his claim that the Burisma scandal has already been investigated.
Any Republican or Democratic Congressional Committee interested in sworn allegations of Democratic corruption at highest levels of our government? Why the delay? Stuck in the Swamp!

Bidens say that the apparent sale of his office, to one of the most crooked Ukrainian oligarchs, was fully investigated. So where is the report? Produce it. You can’t, because it was never investigated!

Think of the Biden arrogance and entitlement to protection. They believe they own the media and they are demanding that they silence me. They know I have incriminating facts, not hearsay, because they know what they did in selling Joe’s office to a Ukrainian crook.

Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted: “Can we request the removal of Democrats on TV that push hoaxes? Wait, but then who would do the interviews?”

Biden adviser Anita Dunn is no stranger to chilling political speech. She was briefly the media strategist for the Obama White House, but resigned in November of 2009 after leading Obama’s war against Fox News and being exposed as an admirer of Communist tyrant Chairman Mao, who oversaw the murder of some 70 million people.
Kate Bedingfield was Biden’s communications director in the Obama White House and is now his deputy campaign manager.
