Climate Activists Attempt to ‘Shut Down’ D.C. in Protests

Following sparsely-attended protests regarding “global warming” in cities such as New York, another group of climate activists are planning an attempt to “shut down” morning traffic in Washington, D.C., according to The Hill.

The attempt is being organized by a group called “Shut Down D.C.,” which described their plans in detail on their website, saying: “We will block key infrastructure to stop business-as-usual, bringing the whole city to a gridlocked standstill.”

The group also encouraged attendees to “skip work and school and put off their other responsibilities” to join the protest. The group will be joined in their efforts by several other far-left groups, including the D.C. chapter of Black Lives Matter, Code Pink, and Sunrise D.C.
