FBI Monitoring Left-Wing Immigration Protesters

According to a report by The Hill, the FBI has been actively monitoring pro-open borders protesters for potential further action against ICE and other immigration enforcement authorities.

In the internal document at the center of the report, the FBI declares that “anarchist extremists” and other left-wing groups are “increasingly arming themselves and using lethal force.” The report also cites violent rhetoric by members of the far-left terrorist organization Antifa, including a member named Cory Lemley, who posted on social media that “every ICE detention center shall be taken over, with ICE employees detained until every immigrant is freed.”

Former Special Agent Mark German noted that left-wing terrorism has frequently been the top priority for the FBI in the years since 9/11, pointing out that “for several years after 9/11, the FBI called environmental activsts the number one threat.”

There has been a significant increase in left-wing domestic terrorism in recent months, predominantly with immigration officials as the targets. On Labor Day weekend, a woman attempted to burn down a Citizenship and Immigration Service facility in Florida using a Molotov cocktail. An ICE facility in San Antonio was shot at in a drive-by shooting last month, and an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington was attacked in July by an Antifa terrorist who used an assault rifle and threw “lit objects” at the facility in an attempt to burn it down.
