Why are Twitter and Facebook Allowing Planned Parenthood Bully Brian Sims to Spew Hateful, Anti-Christian Venom on Their Platforms?

For the past couple of days a formerly unheard of state representative from Pennsylvania has become an internet sensation — at least on the right side of the internet. Other than Fox News, the national media has studiously avoided this story.

Brian Sims is a gay feminist who not only spends his time stalking and harassing elderly women and teenage girls praying in front of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, the hateful creep actually live-streams himself doing it on Periscope.  If a feminist who publicly bullies women and girls seems oxymoronic to you, wait til you see him accusing his victims of being the bullies.

Last week, Sims recorded a woman peacefully praying the rosary outside the Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, which is in his district, and posted his unhinged eight-minute long rant onto Twitter and Facebook.

“Push back against Planned Parenthood protestors, PLEASE!” Sims wrote on Twitter last Thursday. “They prey on young women, they use white privilege, & shame. They’re racist, classist, bigots who NEED & DESERVE our righteous opposition. Push back, please!”

“Shame. Shame on you. There’s no faith that tells you that you’re right and everyone else is wrong,” Sims hectored while the woman continued pacing and praying. “This is disgusting, this is wrong. This is shameful” He also accused her pro-life advocacy of being “racist” and “grotesque.” “How dare you!” he spat.

When she pleaded with him to stop, Sims continued to harass and record the woman, even threatening to dox her and protest in front of her house.

“If you know who this woman is, if you can give me her address, we’ll protest out in front of her home,” he told viewers. “This is what they deserve.”

“The rights that you have to protest out here are very different from the moral standing that you think you have,” he lectured. “There’s nothing Christian about what you’re doing, there’s nothing loving, there’s nothing kind.”

The Democrat’s outrageous conduct has gotten virtually no coverage in the mainstream media.

When pro-life group Live Action reacted to Sims’ disgusting antics on Twitter, he said, “bring it “Bible Bullies!” Live Action also messaged Periscope saying Sims’ “broadcast violates your rules on abusive behavior. He is harassing, intimidating and using fear to silence this sweet elderly woman.”

This wasn’t the first time Sims had harassed and tried to dox Christians praying outside of the abortion clinic. A few weeks ago he pulled the same stunt on a group of young people who were praying outside of the same Planned Parenthood. In video below, the lawmaker actually offers to pay his viewers $100 if they will dox the three Christian teenage girls who were praying outside of the clinic.

“What we’ve got here is a bunch of … pseudo-Christian protesters who are out here shaming young girls,” he said as he approached the group, clearly convinced that he is an authority on what Christian behavior should look like.. “I’ve got $100 dollars for anyone who can identify any of these three,” he added as his phone camera panned on the young girls.

The young man he approached toward the end of his video politely volunteered his name and town, when asked.

“What makes you think it’s your job to tell women what’s right for their bodies,” Sims demanded. “The truth is, I’m not really asking because I don’t care,” he added. “Shame on you!”

“Planned Parenthood faces attacks daily from people like this–from pseudo-Christians saying they are here to somehow to protect their own version of Christianity,” he continued, as if  this gentle group of teens were the ones who came off badly in his video.

In both of his videos, Sims beckons viewers to please donate to Planned Parenthood, but because all of his tweets regarding abortion have been heavily ratioed by conservatives, it is highly likely that pro-life organizations have received more donations as a result of his work than Planned Parenthood.

Not surprisingly, Sims is not a fan of Vice President Mike Pence either:

All of this begs the question of why a state lawmaker is being allowed to use Twitter, Facebook and Periscope as platforms to dox elderly women and teenagers. His widely circulated posts appear to be in violation of Twitter and Facebook’s terms of service regarding abusive behavior and doxing, and have been reported by many.

So far, neither Twitter nor Facebook nor Periscope has taken any action against the bully, even as big tech continues to crack down on right-wingers accused of “hate speech.”

The answer to Carney’s question is likely going to be a resounding no on both counts. This double standard is becoming more pronounced the closer we get to 2020 and has become intolerable.
