Brufke: GOP lawmaker introduces bill to fund border wall by trimming foreign aid

“Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) introduced a bill Tuesday that would help fund a wall along the U.S. southern border by penalizing countries whose citizens illegally enter the United States. Under the Fund and Complete the Border Wall Act, countries would be penalized $2,000 in foreign aid for each person who illegally crosses into the U.S. Those funds would then be allocated toward border funding. In addition to penalizing foreign aid, a fee would be placed on outgoing international wire transfers, and foreign travelers filling out I-94 application forms would see those fees increased from $6 to $25. The new amount would be reallocated with $6 for the Land Border Inspection Fee Account, $9 for the Secure the Southern Border Fund and $10 used for border patrol agents’ salaries. Dinan: 9th Circuit Court grants Mexican mother power to sue in U.S. court over cross-border shooting

“A Mexican woman whose teenage son was killed in a cross-border shooting can sue a Border Patrol agent in American courts, a federal appeals panel ruled Tuesday in a decision that extends some constitutional rights to foreigners who have never set foot in the U.S.”

“Sen. John McCain brokered a clandestine and illegal deal, feeding Classified FBI intelligence to Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to discredit Donald Trump prior to the 2016 election, according to federal law enforcement insiders. McCain, a sitting GOP Senator, was provided names of ‘problematic Russians’ the FBI had recently investigated or were in the process of investigating. Top FBI executives worked with McCain to provide the names of the Russians, FBI insiders confirmed. Then McCain, handed the list off to Fusion GPS who was working with Christopher Steele. One of the names on the list was embattled Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya who was considered an international security risk and prior to the June 2016 sit down at Trump Tower was not even allowed entry into the United States or the UK, federal sources said. […]  ‘McCain should be indicted,’ one FBI insider said. ‘This was a complete set up and the exchange of the list shows it is much deeper than anyone wants the public to believe.’”
