According to The Daily Caller, Bill Kristol “has been considering a run” for the presidency in 2020 for “months.”
Kristol, who remains an editor-at-large for the [Weekly] Standard, said he has no plans to run but declined to rule it out when asked by TheDCNF.
“No plans to run. But I’m randomly in Boston today, and happen to have had lunch with someone who does a lot of work in New Hampshire,” Kristol wrote in an email. “As he’d say, ‘Ya nevah know.’”
If Kristol decides to throw his hat in the ring, his campaign would surpass Richard Painter’s doomed Minnesota Senate run as the biggest dumpster fire campaign of the next couple election cycles. But if anyone could top the pompous, out of touch liberal Painter, it’s Kristol.
