“As for President Trump, despite the bloviations of his critics, he bears no responsibility for NATO’s irrelevance. Trump did not cause NATO to have little role to play in fighting the key threats to American and global security. NATO has had nearly three decades to figure out how to do that. But it failed. All that Trump has done is point out the reality of NATO’s decline — which his four predecessors refused to acknowledge.”

Zogby: Trump Is ‘Mogul of the People’

“. . . to a majority of likely voters, more than a year into his Presidency, Mr. Trump is viewed as one “who is fighting the Washington DC establishment” (54%) than as belonging to that establishment (26%). […] One in three Democrats see the President as part of the establishment (vs 46% who do not), while 45% each of 18-29 year olds and 30-49 year olds see him as battling the DC elite. Less than a majority of Hispanics (46%) and African Americans (44%) as fighting the elite. One thing is clear from the polling question: Mr. Trump is not viewed as part of the establishment – especially at a time . . .”

Wade at all costs, including unleashing the party’s most radical faces, slogans, and rhetoric. One example of the latter is the claim that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will threaten ‘reproductive rights.’  Seriously, abortion is a reproductive right? […] The left’s biggest threat is that baby’s heartbeat — that little sound that confirms that there is something living inside the mother’s body, as Thomas Moore wrote: . . .”
