California Gets Its MOGO Working

In 1987, California Governor George Deukmejian returned $1.1 billion directly to the people “to protect this money for the taxpayers.” In the current $200 billion budget, outgoing Governor Jerry Brown returns zero dollars to the people and looks the other way at crumbling infrastructure and fathomless pension debt.

On the other hand, the budget comes freighted with big bucks for perhaps the state’s most privileged group.

As the Sacramento Bee reports, the new budget includes “$10 million to hire lawyers for unaccompanied minors trying to stay in the U.S.” The budget “expands funding for immigration legal services offered through the Department of Social Services and public colleges,” and “includes $1.6 million to build a team of eight attorneys and investigators in the Labor Commissioner’s office at the Department of Industrial Relations.”

This team will enforce AB 430, “a state law that requires businesses to tell their employees when they’re contacted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.” Under this law, if American grower Goro Kagehiro had attempted to report Juan Corona, the false-documented Mexican national who murdered at least 25 Americans, the farmer could have been fined anywhere from $2,000-$10,000 and Corona likely would remain at large.

The new budget takes last year’s $45 million for “immigrants” legal services and “steers some of that money directly to colleges. It gives $10 million to community colleges for immigration legal services, $7 million to the California State University system and $4 million to the University of California.” As taxpayers might note, for this group the funds are practically limitless.

“The upcoming budget also more than triples legal funding for undocumented minors,” The Bee reports euphemistically. “Last year, the Department of Social Services received $3 million for those cases. In the next budget, the department gets $10 million to help young undocumented immigrants.”

To clarify, “undocumented minors” are children whose parents chose to put into the hands of criminal smugglers.

Trump Derangement Syndrome doubtless fuels the spending, but taxpayers might wonder if it also targets the November election. As the Los Angeles Times reported, California’s 2015 voter registration law “is intended to streamline the process of signing up to vote and encourage more participation in elections.” It kicks in “when people go to the DMV to obtain or renew a driver’s license.” Politicians deny that anybody will be automatically registered to vote.

“We’ve built the protocols and the firewalls to not register people that aren’t eligible,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla told the Times. “At the latest, for the 2018 election cycle, I expect millions of new voters on the rolls in the state of California.” As it happens, Padilla got what he expected.

According to the DMV, as of March, more than 1 million illegal aliens have received driver’s licenses. Did any vote in the 2016 presidential election? Hard to tell because Alex Padilla refuses to release data from voter rolls. So legal residents and taxpayers have good reason to wonder what he is hiding. For their part, taxpayers might verify how many of the new drivers, and those who got big bucks in the budget, show up to vote this fall. As a State Department investigation confirms, false-documented illegals do vote repeatedly in federal, state, and local elections.

align=”right” California Democrats, in effect, are a branch of  Mexico’s dominant Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) and function as a Mexican occupational government (MOGO), serving the interests of false-documented Mexican nationals. Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon wants the state to “step up and work with Mexico” instead of the U.S. government.

Taxpayers might also consider how largesse for illegals violates state law. Californians in 1996 passed Proposition 209, a state constitutional amendment that bars ethnic and racial preferences in state education, employment, and contracting. California state universities privilege illegal aliens with in-state tuition, which would not apply to African-American or Asian students from Michigan or Nevada.

In similar style, Senate boss Kevin de León violated state law by giving preference to Mexican national Lizbeth Mateo—or whatever her real name is—for a post on the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee. At some point, citizens must decide how much bad government they are going to take from people who are not supposed to be in the country.

Normally, people who represent the interests of foreign governments are required to register as agents of those governments. Taxpayers might push their elected representatives to make the PRI’s Democratic Party collaborators sign up as lobbyists.

Meanwhile, for all but the willfully blind, the $200 billion budget should close the book on hereditary, recurring governor Jerry Brown.

The erstwhile “born-again tax cutter,” has saddled the people with the nation’s highest income and sales taxes. The scripture-spouting ex-seminarian approves the violation of federal and state law, and his budget rewards human trafficking, shelters violent criminals, and sanctions document fraud. Jerry Brown was a three-time presidential loser and for that the nation should be glad.
