Big Tech kingpins weasel around in congressional hearing

On Wednesday, kingpins from AppleAmazonFacebookGoogle slithered into a congressional hearing to shuck and jive about their predatory, politically biased companies. Many good questions were asked, lots of spin in response but we know that these tech companies have become the gatekeeper of information disseminated to the public and the sad fact is that most people have no idea how their information is sanitized.

Zuckerberg was asked about taking down a video of a group of doctors, practicing physicians, discussing their experiences with the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19. YouTube, owned by Google, also removed the videos. But why? Zuck claimed the video was immanently harmful. IMMANENTLY HARMFUL. But how? A viewer of the doctor’s press conference cannot hop over to 7-11 and swallow a handful of HQC because the drug is only obtainable via prescription. From a doctor. By what authority can these tech monsters claim medical authority over your personal physician who assists you in making your health decisions? NONE. They have none. And yet…

YouTube, Facebook, and Google permit ads that promote, feature and advertise all kinds of quackery without issue: “one trick that will get rid of belly fat” or some diet where you will lose 20lbs in a week, magical potions that will get rid of wrinkles, a special cream or exercise that will get rid of cellulite or *gasp* veganism and on and on and on. None of this trash is removed for being misleading or dangerous. It’s a joke.

The question is what will happen to these companies that allegedly steal intellectual property, block entry into the market, suppress political information they don’t like and feature the world’s worst tyrants? Nothing. Congress will do nothing. Take that to the bank and don’t forget to hit “like” and “share” on today’s Morning Greatness.
