It appears that the only place where Trump administration officials can safely dine these days is Chic-fil-A.
The renegades of #The Resistance have exchanged pitchforks for salad forks and now are harassing Trump associates (and their families) while they try to eat dinner. Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and her family, which includes young children, were kicked out of Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia Friday night because she works for the president. In a tweet this morning, Sanders confirmed she was asked to leave by the restaurant’s owner: “Her actions say far more about her than about me. I will always do my nest to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.” (Sanders should receive a combat medal when she leaves the White House for what she’s had to put up with. Jay Carney and Josh Earnest would have wept at the press briefing podium if they had been forced to endure the daily beatings from reporters that she has to tolerate.)
It wasn’t long before the same bake-the-cake brigade on the Left commended the restaurant owner’s actions. The desperate and hideous “comedian” Kathy Griffin predictably attacked the press secretary and incoherently attempted to make Sanders the bad guy: “A small business owner makes a decision that she doesn’t want a liar who contributes to the hate in this country to dine at her establishment and Sarah from her official White House account attacks her.” Democratic activists and washed-up Hollywood actors also cheered. Folks on both sides of the political aisle jumped on the Yelp website to weigh in and try to lower the restaurant’s score.
This is a new tactic by the increasingly violent and deranged Left and boosted by the anti-Trump Right. Earlier this week, Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was verbally assaulted during her meal at a D.C. restaurant. Lunatics screamed at Nielsen and her dining companion about the administration’s immigration policies, demanding that she “abolish ICE” and repeatedly yelling, “shame!” (More losers showed up at her Alexandria home on Friday morning to vent their rage.) Stephen Miller, Trump’s point man on immigration, also was jeered at a restaurant last weekend and called a “fascist.”
As Trump’s approval ratings continue to rise and the Democratic Party’s political fortunes continue to plummet, the Left and NeverTrump Right are becoming more unhinged – and more dangerous. The “No Justice, No Eats” approach is the latest tactic in their losing political battle to regain power and take down Trump. Some advice for Republicans: Eat at home or bring your own sharp steak knife out to dinner.
